I’ve gotten this question from clients time and time again:
“How do I know you’ll understand my vision for branding?”
And look, I totally get it.
Having an aesthetic logo or color palette is great. But if you’re thinking about investing in professional brand design, I know what you’re really looking for is a brand identity that feels intentional, professional, and built to last.
One that helps you attract the right clients, show up online with confidence, and honor the direction your business is going.
But trusting a creative partner to really get your vision isn’t always easy.
I’ve helped over 40 brand design clients pull the creative vision out of their heads and turn it into something beautiful, strategic, and aligned. Today, I’m sharing the exact process I go through with brand design clients so you can feel confident investing in my services.
Knowing When It’s Time to Invest in Branding
A strong brand identity isn’t about following trends or having the prettiest logo. It’s about clarity, strength, and alignment.
Here’s what I typically see with business owners who end up investing in professional branding or web design:
- They want a more clear, established online presence that attracts the right type of clients, but something’s missing
- Their business has evolved, but their Canva brand and DIY website isn’t working anymore
- Their online presence is technically fine, but they hesitate to send their link and wish they could feel more confident in their visuals
When you invest in branding that truly reflects your voice, values, and expertise, marketing gets easier. Sales feel more natural. And elevating your online presence feels lighter.
If your online presence feels like it’s holding you back and not conveying the level of value you provide, and you’re willing to take a risk to grow, investing in professional brand or web design might be the right next step for you.

The Discovery Call
Crafting an aligned brand identity takes strategy and a plan tailored to your business vision, which is why all of my design packages start with a discovery call before you book.
Chatting face-to-face helps me better understand your business goals and your why behind investing in branding so I can provide expert guidance on what investment is right for you. It’s also our chance to get to know each other so we can make sure we’re the right fit before working together!
This isn’t about rushing into a full project or committing to something before you’re ready. The discovery call is also your opportunity to:
- Ask any questions you have about the process, timeline, deliverables, how I work, or anything else on your mind!
- Make sure I’m the right creative partner for you so you feel confident I understand your vision and can bring it to life exactly as you imagine.
- Gain clarity on your next steps so you leave the call with a transparent view of cost, timeline, and deliverables.
It’s your chance to explore the experience, feel fully supported, and see how a strategic, intentional brand can help set your business apart – all without any pressure to commit (truly!).
Onboarding & Questionnaire
Once you’ve officially booked a branding package with me, you’ll receive an onboarding email with your project date and a link to a questionnaire.
The onboarding questionnaire is where you’ll be able to share all the important details about your business, your brand voice, and what makes you unique. Every answer you provide will help me gain a better understanding of what you’re looking for!
I always recommend taking time with these questions and answering in your own words rather than using ChatGPT or Claude to summarize for you. The more authentic your responses, the more your final brand identity will truly reflect you.
Moodboards & Creative Direction
The real fun begins after I receive your completed onboarding questionnaire! At this stage of our project, I’ll put together three separate moodboards based on what you told me in your questionnaire.
Each moodboard has its own aesthetic reflecting a unique tone, color palette, and brand personality.
You’ll select the moodboard that most resonates and that you feel is most aligned with your brand’s personality and goals. You’ll also have the opportunity to let me know if there’s anything that doesn’t quite fit.
This piece of the process helps ensure we’re both on the same page about the vision for your branding and helps shape the creative direction as I dive into actually creating your assets!

Branding & Web Design In Action: A Real Client Example
Working with dozens of clients has taught me that branding is most effective when the visual identity and website are built together, which is why many of my clients choose to work with me on both.
For Brinna at Photos by Brinna B., we focused on building a brand identity paired with an elevated website experience. She already had a logo and a DIY website that was working “fine,” but she’d grown and her online presence wasn’t keeping up.
Her website wasn’t reflecting her skill level, so her conversion rates were suffering.
This project included:
- Complete brand identity development
- Refined logos to elevate her branding
- Carefully selected fonts & cohesive color palette
- A functional, aesthetic website and blog that seamlessly incorporated her new branding
The result was a unified brand identity and strategic website that boosted Brinna’s conversion rates from 5-10 percent to 33 percent.
Because of her branding and web design project, she’s able to feel more confident showing up online because her website conveys her professionalism and value with prospects right away.
“I genuinely think it’s going to make such a huge difference in how I’m able to sell, book clients and gain returning customers because of how much more professional and put together my whole business looks now.”
